Is A SigFi Network Right For My Business

SigFi uses Distributed MIMO to connect with low-cost Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). SigFi is currently offered in 2x2 MIMO in the 900MHz band. The product is ideal for tough-to-reach customers where line-of-sight is not an option. Combined with downlink speeds of up to 100 Mbps SigFi provides a new opportunity to capture subscribers inside value markets with poor existing point-to-multipoint (PtMP) conditions.

How do I deploy it

If you already operate a PtMP network you'll find a SigFi network very familiar. Base station mounting does not require line-of-sight. Your network planning team will find the optimal location for your base station. Remember, there is no installation of the CPE at the customer! Signal Laboratories is available to consult on your deployment.

What Are My Technical Support Options

SigFi equipment comes with 3 months of customer service. Each base station comes with an optional annual support contract, which includes free over-the-air (OTA) updates.

How Do I Provision Customers

New CPEs are shipped already provisioned to your equipment with a fixed unique IP address on a /16 subnet. QoS stays in your control.

Will I Expect Interference With My Existing PtMP System

SigFi operates at 900MHz and complies with FCC Part 15, meaning that it will not interfere with your existing 2.4/3.5/5 GHz equipment. Other devices in the 900MHz band complying with FCC Part 15 will share spectrum using CSMA.

What Are The Deployment Requirements

Higher subscriber density improves network performance. A site visit with the CPE can verify connectivity, but typically wouldn't be required. It's recommended that the subscribers stay within 1.5km of the boresight of the antenna. CPEs may be located up to 9km of the boresight provided there are sufficient subscribers in the network.

How many SigFi Base stations Can I deploy

An unlimited number of base stations may be deployed in the same market, provided they do not interfere with each other.
